Fear of oneselfShe screamed, breaking the silence within her mind. It was coming for her, she could hear the footsteps. She picked up pace...trying to outrun her stalker. Dodging trees...since when had she lived near a forest? The light from the setting sun had slowly started to fade into black oblivion above the tree tops. Her breathing was becomeing jagged, a pain tore at her side. No stopping, never stop, never give in..run was all she continued to think. She tried to look back, a fatal attempt on her part, and like all the heroines in the cliche horror movies she tripped and fell.
